Hello! My name is Allison and I use she/her pronouns. I played flute in the marching band from 2019-2023 and am looking forward to being able to continue to be a part of the band in a slightly different capacity. While in the band I served on the flute leadership team and ran the flute social media accounts for two years. One of my favorite parts of being the brain behind the flute social media was poring over hundreds of Gopher Photo photos from previous seasons (and then flooding Pilla's inbox with requests for photos I wanted to post) and I am excited to be able to now contribute to those photos myself!

I first started taking photos at age 12 with my American Girl Dolls as my main subjects. I ran an Instagram account that featured these photos well into high school but eventually grew out of my dolls and simply ran out of time for photography as I got busier with school and band. Since then I have enjoyed casually taking photos on numerous vacations, of my friends and family, and of the beautiful Twin Cities. I will admit that my camera spent quite a few years collecting dust on a shelf post-American Girl doll days but my love of photography has never stopped (as my nearly 40,000 images in my phone's camera roll proves).

Outside of band things, you can usually find me studying. I graduated with my B.S. degree in Genetics, Cell Biology, and Development in May 2023 and in June 2023 began my first semester in the Professional Masters of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences program at UMN. I am pretty sure I will be a die-hard Gopher forever. If I am not in class, studying, or at band, I love to read and paint and I occasionally take up video editing.
